The LSU Police Department is investigating a double homicide that happened on LSU's campus last night.
The victims were both male Ph.D. students at LSU, and both were international students.
An early investigation reveals that it appears to be a home invasion.
They were found inside an apartment at a complex adjacent to the LSU band practice field and Governor-elect Bobby Jindal's transition office.
LSU Police are currently working the case, with assistance from the Baton Rouge Police Department, but no suspects have been identified.
Therefore, university officials are urging the LSU community to use caution when moving about campus this morning.
This was the first time the emergency alert system was put into action.
Thanks to feedback from the LSU community, university officials learned that not everyone who'd registered their cell phones with with the system received a message.
The university is now investigating the problem and will provide more information when the problem is resolved.
