There was a major sign of normalcy on the streets of Lake Charles today. Limited mail delivery is returning to some Lake Area homeowners. For now, it's mostly in the downtown area, but carriers on other routes walked their paths today to see what's open and what's not. The mail carriers say they're happy to be back at work.
"I've been on this route for 10 years and I've gotten to know some of my customers pretty well, so it's a good feeling," mail carrier Scotty Frye said.
The postal service also opened two more branches today in east Lake Charles and Moss Bluff. Those two branches, along with the main post office open from 10 a.m. until 3 pm daily.
