BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Two LSU freshmen football players face charges, one for allegedly stealing a bicycle outside Middleton Library and the other for allegedly tossing firecrackers into a campus apartment. Capt. Cory Lalonde told The Advocate that 17-year-old Trey Lealaimatafao (LAY-ah-LAH-eee-mah-tah-fow), of San Antonio, Texas, and 19-year-old Davon (DUH-von) Godchaux, of Plaquemine, were issued misdemeanor citations in lieu of being booked Thursday into the parish jail.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - McNeese State University Athletic Director Bruce Hemphill says McNeese's plans for building an on-campus basketball arena are "moving forward quickly." Hemphill tells The American Press the school has secured financing for the project and signed contracts with a local architect.
