Lake Charles will be holding several events to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It all gets kicked off at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Charles Civic Center. Line up for the parade begins at 9:30.

Immediately following the parade is the Family Day Festival. The concert lineup for the festival includes Carl Marshall, Nicole Jackson, Nellie "Tiger" Travis, Bobby Rush, T- Broussard, Lil Fallay, Lil Nate and the Zydeco Big Timers and many more. The festival will also host the Annual Gumbo/Sauce Picante Cook-off.
