Firework celebrations in Southwest Louisiana

Fireworks will light up the night sky all over Southwest Louisiana this Fourth of July.  Here's a look at the highlights:

Lake Charles
Red, White, Blue & You Celebration
Parade through Downtown: 6pm
Concert after the parade by:
Jay Ecker's Bayou Jazz Kings Dixieland Band
Lake Charles Community Band
Louisiana Choral Foundation
Annoucement of Pie Contest winners
Fireworks Extrvaganza: 9:15pm

DeRidder
Fired Up for the Fourth
Concert begins at 7:45pm on the fairgrounds
Fireworks begin after the concert

Jennings (Friday, July 3rd)
Stars & Stripes Celebration & Fireworks
Oil and Gas Park Gates open start at 4pm.
Fireworks after a concert by T. Broussard & the Zydeco Steppers

Lafayette
Stars & Stripes Celebration
Slayter Center, Stadium Street at Purdue University in West Lafayette.
Fireworks approximately 10pm.

Delphi A fireworks display at the Hillcrest football field will begin at dusk.
Flora fireworks display Flora Community Park, at dusk.
Burlington Community Park
Celebrations at 5pm. Fireworks display at dusk.

    Calcasieu Parish OEP is reporting a serious structure fire in Jeff Davis Parish Friday afternoon.

    The Iowa Fire Department and Jeff Davis Fire Department are responding to a "fully-involved" structure fire at 21242 Clifton Road, said OEP Director Dick Gremillion.
