LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Lee Orr was tough to get out this season.

And when he made contact, the ball would fly pretty far.

The McNeese outfielder was named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American.  The Louise, TX native led the Cowboys in home runs, RBI's, and stolen bases in 2009.

His end-of-the-year totals were 15 homers, 57 RBI's, and 18 stolen bases.  He's the first Cowboy since 1999 to lead the team in all of those categories in one season.

Orr was also one of four players from the Southland Conference to be named to the squad.

The last Cowboy to be named a freshman All-American was shortstop Shon Landry.  He was given that honor back in 2006.

Landry just finished his last season at McNeese.
