Adam Hooper began his career at KPLC as a 7 teen reporter. Meeting new people and telling a compelling story that would impact his community was appealing to him, so he decided to pursue a career in journalism.
While still in college at McNeese State University, Adam began working at KPLC as an intern, learning different aspects of production from the ground up. After graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications, Adam was promoted to reporter and enjoys the fast-paced challenges of his new position. He says that no day is ever the same in his line of work, and he enjoys meeting new people in different walks of life and reporting the news as it happens.
His love for his Lord and his family and friends gives him balance and stability, while his work and hobbies including camping, four-wheeling, sky diving, and traveling keep him busy. Adam enjoys watching comedy classics on television and hanging out with family and friends.
Adam considers it an honor to work in the community where he grew up, at the station he grew up watching. He hopes to be viewed as someone who made a positive difference in the lake area.
