Friday will continue to have increased rain chances. I have the rain chances at 40% as a warm front passes over us. So, it should not be a washout, but I would keep the umbrella with you. Most of the rain will be in the afternoon and evening.
Despite some leftover clouds once the rain exits, sunshine should make a return as well today which will aid in the spring feel. Through the evening, rain won’t be likely, but fog will be very likely later this evening with a good round of sea fog forming and moving inland through the night.
The Southwest Louisiana Community Coalition for Action and the Baptist Ministers' Union are asking the city and law enforcement to be transparent in the investigation into the death of Juston Landry, the 26-year-old Lake Charles man killed in an officer-involved shooting last week.
Lake Charles Police Chief Shawn Caldwell, on his first day on the job, responded to KPLC's request Wednesday, saying that requests for information should be sent to state police.State police, investigating the shooting at the request of Lake Charles police, says they are processing the request.
Thursday will have most of the rain, if not all of the rain, in the morning. An upper-level disturbance will pass over bringing the rain. By the afternoon, there could be some sunshine. I am not fully confident that we will have abundant sunshine, but we will have more sunshine than today.
