JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) - Three Jennings men have been accused of being involved in a fraudulent portrayal of an officer, according to Chris Ivey, with the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff''s Office.
JDPSO received information that a male subject was wearing a sheriff’s uniform in a Facebook video, Ivey says. Deputies located and questioned Wilbert Lewis Jr., 31, of Jennings, and Luke Freeman, 37, of Jennings.
Ivey says both Lewis and Freeman denied knowing the uniformed male or his location.
Lewis faces one count of aiding and abetting fraudulent portrayal of an officer or firefighter. He also faces charges for an outstanding warrant from Jennings Police for disturbing the peace and resisting an officer. He is booked into the parish jail.
Freeman was also arrested for aiding and abetting fraudulent portrayal. He is also booked into the parish jail.
On Feb. 10, Christopher Mathew Villanueva, 32, of Jennings was arrested for false impersonation of a peace officer.
