Sewer smoke testing in Sulphur Monday through Friday
The City of Sulphur will be smoke testing sewers beginning Monday, Feb. 11, through Friday, Feb. 15.

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The City of Sulphur will be smoke testing sewers beginning Monday, Feb. 11, through Friday, Feb. 15.

The city says residents may see smoke coming from vent stacks on houses, holes in the ground, or dried up drain traps. The smoke is non-toxic, harmless, has no odor, and creates no fire hazard.

The testing will be done on the following streets:

  • McBride Street
  • N. Johnson Street
  • N. Huntington
  • Willow Street
  • Tamarack Street
  • Lafargue Street
  • LoveJoy Street
  • Ginger Street
  • S. Stanford Street
  • S. Huntington Street
  • Catherine Street
  • Pamela Street
  • W. Kent Drive
  • E. Kent Drive
  • Maria Drive
  • Francis Avenue
  • Starlin Drive
  • S. Hudson Street
  • N. Hudson Street
  • S. Mitchell Street
  • N. Mitchell Street
  • S. Liberator Street
  • N. Liberator Street
