Early voting begins Saturday in Calcasieu and Cameron, only one race on ballot

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Louisiana early voting for the special primary election begins Sat., Feb. 9. Early voting for the special primary will continue until Sat., Feb. 16. Voting times are from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., excluding Sun. Feb. 10.

State representative seats are up for election across 13 parishes. The parishes are: Calcasieu, Cameron, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Lincoln, Ouachita, Pointe Coupee, Rapides, Union, Vermilion, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana parishes.

Voting locations for Calcasieu and Cameron Parish can be found below:

Calcasieu:

  • Parish Courthouse- 1000 Ryan Street, Lake Charles
  • West Calcasieu Business Center- 500 A, N. Huntington Street, Building B, Sulphur
  • Moss Bluff Library- 261 Parish Road, Moss Bluff

Cameron:

  • Cameron West Annex- 148 Smith Circle, Cameron
  • Grand Lake Firemans Center- 963 Hwy. 384, Grandlake
  • Hackberry Recreation Center- 1250 Recreation Center Lane, Hackberry

State representative seats in district 47 are on the ballot.
