BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - One man has been arrested on domestic abuse charges after a woman says he held a box cutter to her neck while she was packing his things to evict him from their house.
Christopher Aucoin, 30, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 5, after police arrived to find a woman with a laceration on her forehead, a bruise on her leg and neck, as well as an indention in the sheetrock where she claimed he slammed her head.
The victim told police she was packing Aucoin’s things and moving them outside when he walked into the house. According to the victim, he stood up, grabbed her from the couch, put a box cutter to her neck and grabbed her by her hair.
She said he wrapped a cord around her neck, and choked her until she fell to the floor unconscious. While she was on the floor, she told police he threatened to kill her. The victim told Aucoin to calm down because he was going to wake up her 1-year-old child.
She says he told her not to move, to stand with her hands in the air, and that she could not call police, according to the arrest report.
Aucoin then called a friend to pick him up. When that friend arrived, the victim says he grabbed her and slammed her forehead into the sheetrock.
Aucoin was arrested and charged with domestic abuse battery, child endangerment, false imprisonment with a dangerous weapon, and aggravated assault. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a $25,000 bond.
