Alvin Kamara, the garbage man?

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - “I love that smile right there, it’s great,” said Sidney Torres owner of IV Waste,L.L.C.

He can’t help but smile at his company’s new commercial. New Orleans Saints Running Back Alvin Kamara stars in it. This is how it happened.

“He and I have become friends over the last few years. He sent me a message a few weeks ago. One of my drivers had a jacket, a florecent green, and he said I gotta get one of those,” Torres said.

The talented number 41 can probably buy whatever designer jacket he wants, but it was something about the IV Waste jacket that caught his eye.

"When we were on the phone I said look I'm doing this thing with the commercial. I was going to put something in the Saints game. Do you want to be a part of it? He said absolutely! Just tell me what time and when you're gonna shoot it."

Let’s do this!!! @alvinkamara #IVwaste #gosaints #superbowl #Nolachamp #whodat

Torres said Kamara liked the exercise. The jumping on and off the truck and spinning around was good training. People on the street were stopping cars, taking pictures and videoing.

"They were asking who it was and when they found out they wanted to stay and watch the whole thing," Torres said.

Kamara handled the trash with the same finesse as he does the ball capturing a first down.

“He didn’t ask for any money or anything like that, it was just cool. It was out of friendship. It’s a good feeling.”

If he would have gotten hurt moving that bag of trash?

“I think I would have moved out of New Orleans!” Torres said.
