Police identify mother, daughter killed in Bossier City shooting; man arrested

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - The Bossier City Police Department has identified two women shot and killed in a murder on Wednesday night. They also released new information about the suspect in the case.

According to police, Shandrell Simoneaux, 22, and her mother Maeisha Simoneaux, 40, were shot inside an apartment on Misty Lane in Bossier City.

A news release stated Frederick Dewayne Jackson shot both women before he left the scene in a vehicle. Police said Shandrell Simoneaux’s and Jackson’s two children were inside the apartment during the shooting.

According to authorities, Jackson is charged with 1st Degree Murder, and his bond is set at $7.5 million dollars.
