LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Eastbound on the 210 bridge will be reduced to one lane early Friday morning, according to the Department of Transportation.

Westbound is already down to one lane as part of a year-long project to update the 57-year-old bridge.

DOTD says the eastbound lane closure will begin around 4 a.m. Friday.

For worker safety the speed limit in these construction zones will be reduced to 45 mph.

Prepare your routes accordingly. A live traffic map and traffic updates from DOTD can be found HERE.

While both directions will be down to one lane during the day, westbound will be closed from 9 p.m. – 4 a.m. Monday through Thursday.
