JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) - Jennings Police have caught one of the suspects accused of being involved in a Jennings shooting and robbery on Jan. 5, according to Chief Danny Semmes.

After putting the photos on social media, many residents began to call JPD to let officers know they had seen Jalawrence White, 21, in Jennings, Semmes said. After reviewing surveillance video, White was seen leaving a local hotel and getting into a vehicle with several others.

Semmes said a patrol unit followed the vehicle and pulled them over. While apprehending White, one man fled the scene.

The man who fled the scene was arrested in an abandoned home once officers found ecstasy, marijuana, a handgun, and a sawed off handgun, said Semmes. A search warrant revealed more narcotics and a key card to another hotel in the vehicle.

Angeliyah Lampkin, another occupant in the vehicle, was discovered with several grams of marijuana at the hotel and a gun in her vehicle, Semmes said. She was arrested for a drug violation.

Dandre Nixon, 23, of Crowley—the other suspect—is still a fugitive and is considered armed and dangerous.

Both White and Nixon are wanted for attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery. Semmes said both have criminal histories.

White faces attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery charges. Semmes said the victim is expected to live.
