McNeese takes on Northwestern

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - It’s all or nothing for the 18th-ranked Cowboys tonight if they want a spot on the playoffs this year.

With the cowboys on the road at Northwestern State tonight’s game is essentially already a playoff game says head coach Lance Guidry, “We have to win the next two games to get at least a piece of the title and to get into the playoffs. It’s do or die.”

McNeese was stung by it’s 23-6 loss last Saturday at the hands of Southeastern Louisiana. That said, Northwestern also fell in their last game in a 49-47 loss to Abilene Christian.

Tonight the Cowboys are up against the league’s No. 1 passing offense and receiver, Jazz Ferguson, who has 934 receiving yards.

“We’re going to have to do a good job defending him,” said Guidry. “He’s the kind of guy that will go and get the ball, a Kent Shelby-typle player. They have several really good wide receivers.”

This is McNeese’s 68th meeting with the Demons and have averaged 46 points during their last three match-ups. The last time NSU won against McNeese was back in the 2004 season.

We have a list of how to catch the game as well as live score updates below.
