Tresia Bowles

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Tresia Bowles has been a digital content producer for KPLC since February 2018. She also reports for the Babies 101 segment on Roku and helps with other stories from time to time.

Originally from Fayetteville, Georgia (but she claims ATL, Gooooo Falcons!), Tresia was born in Atlanta and has lived in several other cities in the metro-Atlanta area such as Riverdale and Jonesboro before settling in “the 'Ville”. She considers herself a true Georgia peach with a “whole 'lotta personality”. She traveled nine hours away from home to pursue her dreams of being a journalist.

Tresia graduated cum laude from Valdosta State University in 2016 with a major in mass media and a minor in dance. She has her Bachelor of Fine Arts and got her itch to be in the news industry while reporting and anchoring for VSU’s News Valdosta and Blazer Sports Report.

If Tresia’s not at KPLC during the wee hours of the morning, she’s teaching Zumba, Pilates, Hip-Hop, gymnastics, or some other class at several gyms in SWLA. She also loves to hang out with friends (while battling with the Louisiana Saints fans) and bing-watching TV Shows. She’s obsessed with Bruno Mars and her Poodle-Shih Tzu-Chihuahua, Prince! On Sundays, you’ll see her at Christian Baptist Church. Don’t be afraid to say “hi” if you catch her at the gym!
